Omega Air Refueling is a company which provides aerial refueling services for military units. According to the company's website, Omega developed the first commercial aerial refueling aircraft in 1999, and has provided aerial refueling services under contract to the United States Navy since 2001. From 2001 until 2006 the Omega tankers flew under USN contract. In 2004 Omega Aerial Refueling Services, Inc. (OARS) was created. OARS currently leases the tanker aircraft from Omega Air. Since 2006, Omega has flown two K-707 tankers. In late 2006, Omega began converting a former Japan Air Lines DC-10-40 and the aircraft entered service in the spring of 2008. The company currently list their headquarters as San Antonio, Texas.
